Freedom of Information (FOIL) Request

You may download, print, and fill out the FOIL request by hand. You may also download, use the Fill & Sign feature in Adobe Acrobat to fill out the form, then print. Please be sure to sign the bottom of the first page.

Please submit the request in person at the Village Clerk's Office, by mail, or email it to clerk@villageofleroy.org

Please note that for a public information request to be valid, it must be submitted in writing.

The Clerk/Treasurer or Deputy Clerk will review your request, and contact you within five business days of receipt of the request to discuss availability and cost.

A valid NYS Driver’s License or other government-issued photo ID is required. If it isn't possible for the requester to produce the I.D. in person, a Notarized copy of the front and back of the I.D. is acceptable and must accompany the FOIL request.

The cost for documents produced as a result of the request is $.25 per printed page or $0 for electronic records. Encrypted files are provided via Barracuda with instructions.
