USDA Trapping Insects in the Village

The Village Board of Trustees has given the Department of Agriculture (USDA) permission to survey/trap for two invasive insects, the European Cherry Fruit Fly and Box Tree Moth, which damage a variety of trees and bushes and have been spotted in Wester NY. They will be placing traps in parks and other Village-owned property. They may approach landowners directly to request placing traps on private property.
