Mayor’s Corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers
The village board will have a workshop on Monday November 3rd at 6:30 at 3 W. Main St. to discuss future projects and building upkeep. Our street Christmas lights need updating so this will be on the agenda.
Please try to keep sticks out of your leaf piles as they raise hell with the leaf vac. Thank you!
It looks like the Winterfest tree lighting will take place in Trigon Park and we will have decorations up in the Wiss lot as well.
The fall sports sectionals are in full swing. Good luck to all.
Chief Kellogg and School Superintendent Merritt Holly will be renegotiating another contract to have SROs at each campus. We look to provide the maximum security for the students that we can. Recently we reached out to other schools to see if they have or do something that we could use to help us with this. It’s something we look at every day.
We have an upcoming Town election on Tuesday, November 4th. Thank you to all the candidates for stepping up to try to help. Win or lose, it is important to have options. With this, LeRoy will be saying good-bye to the representation from Shelley Stein. Shelley served LeRoy in many capacities over the years and did it well. If you see her, thank her. She put her heart and soul into her work.
