Mayor’s Corner by Greg “Porp” Rogers
We have completed the SWIM NY grant, and have applied for a $180,000 grant, in hopes to get much pool infrastructure done and change to a salt water pool. We will keep you posted.
The village is in the process of putting electric charging stations in each of our municipal parking lots. This will be a no cost to the village after rebates and incentives.
For years our waste water treatment plant had a big problem. During heavy rains and spring thaws our sewer plant would take ground water that would put us over capacity and cost more to treat the extra water. During the last big rain, we realized that all the hard work had finally paid off in we saw only a small spike and nowhere near where we used to be.
I will try to keep you updated on our progress. The next Comprehensive Plan meeting will be in September, we will keep you posted on the day and time and will keep you posted. We have new outside leadership which should help this project move faster and smoother. We are looking for as much input as we can get, so come make your ideas heard.
